OUR HISTORY

At the beginning of the middle of the year 2022, a STARSCORP organization was founded by Dr Meor Fazrul. However, at the beginning of 2024, an overseas company sent a follow-up action warning notice following a brand that had registered a trademark, causing the top management of STARTSCORP to unanimously change the name of STARSCORP to a new name, ULTRUST.

The Union of Universal Trust (ULTRUST) or in Malay "Kesatuan Amanah Sejagat" is a registered organisation established and foundations owned by Dr Meor Fazrul with the primary objective of pooling funds from investors and allocating them towards the development of new or growing businesses, particularly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). By doing so, ULTRUST acts as a social entrepreneurship platform that not only stimulates SME growth but also generates sustainable income through equity investments. All investments made into SMEs must receive prior approval from the respective fund owners or investors to ensure transparency and consent. Among the organizations that have joined ULTRUST are USIPT HRF Administration (USIPT), ULTRUST Employment Agency / Agensi Pekerjaan ULTRUST (APULTRUST), ULTRUST Event Delight (UED), ULTRUST Capital Resource (UCR), Meor Legacy Entertainment (MLE Entertainment), Meor Legacy Established Ventures (MLE Ventures) all of which are entities whose majority shares are owned by ULTRUST, this means that the Board of Directors (BOD) of these companies must report to the ULTRUST Board of Governance (BOG).

ULTRUST is governed by the Board of Governance (BOG), which includes the Board of Directors (BOD) or the highest representatives or owners of all affiliate organisations and member companies that are either directly founded by or partially owned by ULTRUST. This governance structure ensures that strategic decisions reflect the collective interests of its business network. To ensure the success and growth of the funded businesses, ULTRUST appoints a Board of Advisors (BOA)—a panel of experts in entrepreneurship and industry management—to provide structured mentorship. BOA members are compensated for their services and are responsible for monitoring progress through a monthly evaluation framework known as the “Hexagon Administrative Structure (HEXAS) Business Model created by Dr. Meor Fazrul" which covers the 6 core departments or the domains of Director's Office (DO), Corporate Development & Entrepreneurship (CODE), Finance, Investment & Operations (FINO), Legal, Compliance & Oversight (LECO), Marketing & Communications (MARCOM), Strategic Workforce (WORKFORCE).

ULTRUST's role is to support the public's trust in it in eradicating the oppression of big powers in a world of business investment and politics against society in Malaysia. Functioning as a hybrid of social entrepreneur, business investor, coach, and capital resource provider, ULTRUST focuses its efforts and investments in strategic industries, including Legal, Education and Research, Integrated Asset and Corporate Finance Development including the Capital and Resource Management, Real Estate, Integrated Property and Facility Management, Event Management and Management, Healthcare and Veterinary, Agropreneurship, Strategic Workforce, Integrated Communication and Entertainment, and Political Science industries. Other than economic issues, ULTRUST is also actively fighting the issues of poverty and divorce, which mostly come from young people.

The vision of ULTRUST is to "Become the most trusted organisation in the country and serve as Asia’s leading benchmark in social entrepreneurship investment". Its mission is fourfold: (1) To build a winning portfolio of sustainable social entrepreneurship businesses, (2) To deliver high financial returns through operational excellence, (3) To uphold good corporate governance and ethical values, and (4) To create a growth-oriented environment for all its members.

ULTRUST is also very active in fulfilling the role of social responsibility in areas where it is rare to intervene, such as investing in legal firms, and SMEs that often help oppressed and disadvantaged communities, in addition, ULTRUST has also made a significant contribution to the continuity of operations for the construction and maintenance of the underprivileged communities family homes in several episodes of TV3's Bersamamu reality program, as well as emergency food stock donations, and room rental deposit assistance for university students from poor families and orphans around Sarawak, Johor, Selangor, Perak, and Kedah.

ULTRUST continues to grow, delivering sustainable value to our stakeholders through operational excellence, high-performance standards, and good corporate governance. ULTRUST also aspires to further expand the conquered area to the entire state and country one day, in a mission to share sustenance and moral support to the various parties who trust ULTRUST.
